Quick Links

Recently in class, we have been learning how to use Powerpoint to hyperlink images. Its quite astounding how useful it is, as if you were to try to do it using html, you'd have to target pixels and complex codes. However, using PowerPoint, everything is broken up for you and is much more convienient and quick to use.
To start off, you will need a few pictures of sites you want to link to. Save them in a folder titled "Links". Next, create a powerpoint with a title of the links you are going to link to the images. Insert the images and align them in a way you find you can work with best. Save the powerpoint in the same folder so you can go back later if you need to change anything. Afterwards, just select each image, go to the hyperlink button on the Standard toolbar, enter the URL (be sure to include the http:// part) and then just hit the OK button. When you are done with all the images, publish the image in File/Save As Webpage & BE SURE TO SAVE AS WEBPAGE (.HTM or .HTML file extension). Remember to save in the same folder as the other image files & powerpoint file! After that, just preview it in File/Web Page Preview and your done! :)
